Becoming A CFC Agency . . .
Welcome to the Intermountain CFC. Each year, our CFC raises millions of dollars to support worthy charitable causes like yours.
Before you apply to the 2009 CFC (application forms will be available on this site as soon as they are ready) please make sure that you meet the following minimum criteria:
- You are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in good standing with the IRS
- You are located with our campaign boundaries or the boundaries of an adjacent campaign
- You report to an active board of directors, the majority of which are not compensated
- If you report revenues exceeding $100,000 annually, you:
- - Have an independent audit performed by an outside, accredited auditing firm. (If you earn more than $250,000 you must supply a copy of the audit in your application)
- - Use the ACCRUAL method of accounting – you must certify this in block F on p. 1 of your most recent IRS Form 990

You have a staffed facility or dedicated portion of a residence that is “open for business” a minimum of 15 hours per week, with a dedicated phone line solely for your organization

Remember, each organization that is deemed eligible to participate in the CFC is entitled to only one listing in the CFC brochure, regardless of the number of federations to which that organization belongs. The exception is that a national organization and its local affiliate may both be listed if the requirements of 5 CFR § 950.401(i) are met.
