Welcome to Intermountain CFC!
Each year, our campaign raises millions of dollars to support charitable causes like yours.
Before you apply to the CFC,
please make sure that you meet the following minimum criteria:
- You are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in good standing with the IRS
- You are located within our campaign boundaries or the boundaries of an adjacent CFC territory
- You report to an active board of directors, the majority of which are not compensated
- You have a staffed facility or dedicated portion of a residence that is “open for business” a minimum of 15 hours per week, with a dedicated phone line specifically for your organization
- If your annual revenues exceed $100,000, you:
- Have an independent audit performed by an outside, accredited auditing firm. (If you earn more than $250,000 you must supply a copy of the audit in your application)
- Use the ACCRUAL method of accounting – you must certify this on your most recent IRS Form 990
Intermountain CFC offers the following tools/services to ensure your application is successful.
- Local step-by-step instructions for completing the application – in addition to the instructions provided by OPM
- A courtesy pre-review period if you submit your application at least 14 business days prior to the application deadline
- On-call support – please take advantage of this! – call 801-399-5584, ext. 104.
- The official checklist that will be used by our Eligibility Committee to review your application
Remember, each organization that is deemed eligible to participate in the CFC is entitled to only one listing in the CFC brochure, regardless of the number of federations to which that organization belongs. The exception is that a national organization and its local affiliate may both be listed if the requirements of 5 CFR § 950.401(i) are met.
